I served aboard the Gompers from Sept 1979 until July 1983. As a Bos'n Mate I served in all divisions of Deck Dept. I was the only Certified Restricted Water Helmsman for two years of the time I was on board. Many sea sick sailors own me for the times that I decided to have fun by rocking the ship. Now a driver for a small trucking company in Bangor, ME I tend to be away for two weeks at a time. I am looking for any and all shipmates from the time I was aboard. Ann is our Secretary and Treasure and is also doing a fantastic job as reunion Chairperson. Ann is the person responsible for finally getting together the information and organization we needed to get the Crewmembers Association up and running! A fantastic organizer and energetic business woman, Ann is the go to person for getting things done!
